Educational self-check only — not a diagnosis or medical advice. Soft 1.3–1.5 ATA chambers are general-wellness devices, not FDA-cleared treatment. Sources: StatPearls (NBK557661), Johns Hopkins, UHMS. Consult a qualified physician before starting HBOT.

✓ No common red flags ticked

For general wellness and athletic recovery, mild home HBOT is generally well tolerated by healthy adults, with mild reversible effects like ear pressure or temporary nearsightedness. Still confirm with your physician, and always follow grounding, ventilation and no-electronics-inside safety rules.

⚠ Talk to a physician first

You ticked at least one item that calls for medical sign-off before hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The only absolute contraindication is an untreated pneumothorax; the others are reasons to check with your doctor about whether — and at what pressure — home HBOT is appropriate for you.
